Cydwoq (pronounced "sidewalk") shoes and accessories are handmade in Burbank, California with the concept of creating architectural shoes that combine comfort and unique design.
Produced to exact specifications and quality standards required by CYDWOQ designer, Rafi Balouzian, each pair of CYDWOQ’s are a study in form and feature reinforced construction, hand-sewn seams, graceful lines, unusual styling, great flexibility, and unexpected oddities -- all designed to protect and accent the human foot. Environmentally friendly: using the highest quality vegetable dyed, tanned leathers, all glues are water based and packaging is made from 100% recyclable materials.
Each pair of CYDWOQ shoes are unique sculptures, timeless in appearance and lasting in quality. Simple lines and natural shapes follow the foot, making a perfect union of comfort and style. Gracefully contoured soles ensure the foot receives maximum support at all times. He founded his shoe design company on a basic premise that "the best way to walk is barefoot."
