French born Jimmy Tavernity has been a couture designer in Europe for the last 18 years. In 2004 his love for vintage clothing brought him to Los Angeles where he joined forces with jean guru Paul Guez and launched his high end contemporary collection “Taverniti So Jeans.” This line is a perfect combination of sexy sophisticated Italian fits with the worn out used look of American Vintage. His creative philosophy for this particular collection is “how to turn new in to old.” The collection fuses fashion and functionality with strategic placement of buttons, zippers and pockets to create unique denim silhouettes. Taverniti So’s desire to positively portray the human form is illustrated throughout their denim collection. Their strategic placement of seams above the knee and the inside thigh create the illusion of longer, leaner legs.
“My inspiration for design and style comes from what I see on the street and from what is going on in the world. I believe that the collection and its strong emphasis on military elements and sexy details reflects our obsession with force and our desire for beauty. I am incredibly proud of the collection,” says designer, Jimmy Tavernity.
