Born in Belgrade, Dusica Sacks spent her childhood designing and redesigning everything around her from shoes and toys to furniture and interiors. She has an obsession for shoes, but a passion for the beauty of art. She attended design school in Italy and Serbia until a visit to New York proved permanent. While in New York, Dusica decided she wanted to expand her education from fine arts to design. She struggled to make decision between fashion, interior design and photography. “I wanted to it do all, anything that would visually stimulate me.” She finally decided fashion simply because as she explains, “it is the only art that you can enjoy every moment of a day, by wearing, touching, feeling and looking at it almost every sense is satisfied.” Shoes have a special part in her heart “They can make you feel like nothing else, they are sculptures on your feet.” And her designs are walking fine art. After all, shoes are the only object in fashion that have the power to impact your ability to move!
