"Look great, feel great," is the mantra that has expanded Scarpe's offerings for over 12 years. Jennifer Brand Difiore, the energetic creator of the store and its mountain chic style, has built a business based on valued, authentic relationships and an exceptional personal shopping experience.
Scarpe is the Italian word for shoes. Jennifer's own experience in business has been strongly influenced by time she spent living in Florence. "When I think of Italy, I think of fine foods, great leathers, and incredible shoes," she says. The store began as a shoe boutique, a laudable outpost of fashion and diversity to the small mountain town of Telluride, Colorado. Originally heralded by locals as a "shoe museum" because of the clean display of merchandise and elegant styles, Scarpe brought quality, comfort, and a lesson in walking in heels to the women of Telluride.
After achieving a degree in fashion design and merchandising, Jenny studied at the Paris Fashion Institute. Assigned to spend cafe filled days observing trends in the city, she cultivated an eye for spotting trends both lasting and fleeting. Scarpe has carefully expanded to offer clothing that does not succumb to momentary trends but mixes edge and style with timelessness.
Scarpe provides a special dose of retail therapy through personal attention ensuring customers are building a collection of wearable, timeless pieces. Fashion makes us happy and has the ability to positively transform our lives. Better fitting jeans, a work shoe that makes you smile, or an occasion dress that you feel comfortable and beautiful in represents more than the mere love of fashion. The contemporary wardrobe is a reflection of how you feel about yourself and how you relate to your world, a pro-active psychology we support.
